LCSS Law Institute researcher Agn\u0117 Limant\u0117, together with her colleague from the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Dr. Ne\u017ea Pogorel\u010dnik Vogrinc, published a chapter in the international yearbook Balkan Yearbook of European and International Law 2024, titled \u201cEnsuring Child Support: Tendencies in Case Law on Maintenance in Slovenia and Lithuania\u201c<\/i>.<\/p>

The study, published by the internationally recognized publisher Springer, presents a comparative analysis of case law on child support in Lithuania and Slovenia, taking into account differences between the two legal systems as well as overarching trends. In their comprehensive review, the researchers also examine key aspects of the child support framework, including the interpretation of legal concepts, principles for calculating the amount of support, and other essential issues arising in the application of child maintenance law.<\/p>

This research makes a targeted contribution to the broader international discourse on the protection of children's rights and legal decision-making practices within European Union countries.<\/p>
