Based on an empirical study, the article draws on qualitative data to examine how Lithuanian offenders navigate integration and punishment in the host country and society. The findings reveal that tendencies toward criminal behavior often emerge at the intersection of early life experiences, social exclusion, addiction, and cultural barriers.
