Vis\u0105 Teisingumo ministerijos ataskait\u0105, kurioje atsispindi ir LTI darbai, galima rasti \u010dia: http:\/\/www.tm.lt\/dok\/Vyriausyb\u0117s%20programos%20\u012fgyvendinimo%20planas_TM_2017%2012%2014.pdf [:en] The Ministry of Justice, in presenting operational results for 2017, also reviewed the work of the Law Institute of Lithuania (LIL), paying particular attention to the study carried out by the Institute on \u201cPreparation of a Final (Ex-Post) Evaluation Model in the Lithuanian Legal System\u201d. In 2017, the Law Institute of Lithuania implemented the \u201cProvide Proposals for Legislative Policy-Making Based on the Results of Research in Contemporary Law and Criminology\u201d measure that was part of the Ministry of Justice\u2019s \u201cLegal System\u201d programme. The LIL conducted five scientific studies in 2017 that were used as the basis for one scientific monograph, three scientific studies and one scientific conclusion. This year, researchers have investigated some particularly pressing issues: the problems of incorporating an ex-post review institution into the national legal system of Lithuania, and an analysis of the system of social rehabilitation measures applied in places of imprisonment. The LIL conducted the research in order to become acquainted with the experience of foreign countries in protecting the rights of consumers in out-of-court debt recovery as well as to submit proposals; the adequacy of regulation of object investigation and forensic examination in the criminal process in Lithuania was also studied, taking into account European Union standards, etc. Implementation of the \u201cLegal System\u201d programme in 2016\u20132017 has shown that this is one of the most effective means for both satisfying the needs of the subjects of legislative policy-making, and ensuring the execution and development of scientific research. The LIL also carried out several international projects in 2017, of which particular mention should go to the EU Twinning Project to strengthen the capacity of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights to protect human rights and freedoms, where Lithuania is working with colleagues from Austria. Together with partners from Lithuania, Germany and the Netherlands, the LIL is implementing the \u201cEnhancement of Legal Aid Quality: General Standards for Different Systems\u201d project as the lead project coordinator.
