Researchers of the Law Institute of Lithuania (hereinafter \u2013 LIL) and the Head of the State-Guaranteed Legal Aid Service have shared their experience with the specialists from the Bulgarian Legal Aid Service.<\/p>\n
The delegation from the Bulgarian Legal Aid Service paid a visit to LIL. Together with And\u017eelika Banevi\u010dien\u0117, Director of the Lithuanian State-Guaranteed Legal Aid Service, researchers of the institute Dr. Agn\u0117 Limant\u0117 and Evaldas Visockas discussed legal aid and its quality in Lithuania and Bulgaria as well as in other EU Member States.<\/p>\n
The President of the Bulgarian Legal Aid Service and other guests from Bulgaria were particularly interested in the international project entitled \u201cEnhancement of legal aid quality: general standards for different systems\u201d implemented by LIL. The researchers of the institute presented the background information and the results of this project to Bulgarians and agreed to later share legal aid quality standards that are being developed during the project. The guests from Bulgaria shared their experience and thoughts and were pleased to get new ideas.<\/p>\n
The participants of the meeting also discussed the results of projects implemented at LIL and largely focussed on the project \u201cTowards the effective cooperation between police and other stakeholders: model for the identification, support and prevention of domestic violence (POSIB)\u201d.<\/p>\n
