Pristatyta Lietuvos ir Austrijos paraiška dėl žmogaus teisių stiprinimo Ukrainoje

Lietuvos teisės instituto direktorė Jurgita Paužaitė – Kulvinskienė dalyvavo Europos Sąjungos Dvynių projekto UA/47b „Ukrainos parlamento Vyriausiojo žmogaus teisių komisaro institucinių gebėjimų saugoti žmogaus teises ir laisves stiprinimas pagal geriausią Europos patirtį“ (angl. Implementation of the best European practices with the aim of strengthening the institutional capacity of the Apparatus of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights to protect human rights and freedoms (Apparatus))atrankos posėdyje, kuriame buvo svarstomos projektui pateiktos paraiškos.

Paraišką šiam Europos Sąjungos Dvynių projektui Lietuva pateikė kartu su Austrija. Lietuvą šiame projekte kartu su Lietuvos teisės institutu atstovauja Lietuvos Seimo kontrolierių įstaiga, Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija, Lygių galimybių kontrolieriaus tarnyba, Vilniaus universitetas bei Centrinė projektų valdymo agentūra. Austriją projekte atstovauja Liudviko Bolcmano žmogaus teisių institutas.

Numatoma, kad sprendimas dėl Dvynių projekto UA/47b „Ukrainos parlamento Vyriausiojo žmogaus teisių komisaro institucinių gebėjimų saugoti žmogaus teises ir laisves stiprinimas pagal geriausią Europos patirtį“ įgyvendinimo bus priimtas gegužės mėnesį.

Director of the Law Institute of Lithuania Jurgita Paužaitė – Kulvinskienė attended the selection meeting of EU Twinning project UA/47b “Implementation of the best European practices with the aim of strengthening the institutional capacity of the Apparatus of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights to protect human rights and freedoms (Apparatus)”.

This EU Twinning project proposal was submitted by Lithuania in partnership with Austria. Lithuania is represented by the Law Institute of Lithuania together with the Seimas Ombudsmen’s Office of the Republic of Lithuania, Office of the Equal Opportunities Ombudsperson, State Data Protection Inspectorate, Vilnius University and Central Project Management Agency. Austria is represented by the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights.

It is expected to have the decision on the implementation of the EU Twinning project “Implementation of the best European practices with the aim of strengthening the institutional capacity of the Apparatus of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights to protect human rights and freedoms (Apparatus)” in May.
