(English) Lithuania is Calling for the Network of Centers of Excellence in #Legaltech

 The Law Institute of Lithuania, is initiating a strong consortium of European Centers of Excellence in #Legaltech domain

There are R&I of multidisciplinary domains of social and technological science uprising in Vilnius, Lithuania:

  • excellence centers of block-chain, fin-tech, cyber-crime are being developed
  • public universities are reorganizing to focus deeper on legal-tech domain
  • SME’s are organizing legal-tech hack-athons
  • Vilnius municipality mayor personally supports #legaltech hack-athons

The Law Institute of Lithuania (LIL), one of the initiator of network of legal-tech professionals, is seeking to organize the network of European Centers of Excellence in #Legaltech domain. The network will promote standardization, interoperability and policy support in the field of #legaltech.

In Lithuania, LIL cooperates with main Lithuanian universities, public and private bodies, SME’s, “Blockchain Centre Vilnius”,  “Lithuanian Cybercrime Centre of Excellence for Training, Research, Development and Education” (L3CE), and international partners.

 

We are looking for partners: 

We are looking for international partners to join the network of European Centres of Excellence in #Legaltech. Universities, research institutes, SME’s, Industry, centres, hubs focusing on legaltech domains or working in related area are expected. Primary focus area is dedicated to legal and technical technologies ensuring healthy ecosystem of data privacy, data economy, trust, better public services, security, AI&LAW, Legal XML and benefits gained from open and big data development.

  • Socioeconomic and cultural transformations in the context of fourth industrial revolution (H2020-SC6-TRANSFORMATIONS-2018-2019-2020)
  • Trust in governance (GOVERNANCE-01-2019)
  • Digitisation, Digital Single Market and European culture: new challenges for creativity, intellectual property rights and copyright (DT-GOVERNANCE-13-2019)
  • Pilot on using the European cloud infrastructure for public administrations (DT-GOVERNANCE-12-2019-2020)
  • New forms of delivering public goods and inclusive public services (DT-GOVERNANCE-05-2018-2019-2020)
