DRUGS AND IMPRISONMENT: CRIMINOLOGICAL FEATURES OF PUNISHING FOR THE POSSESION OF NARCOTIC OR PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES AND PECULIARITIES OF DRUG USE IN PRISONS
The monograph discusses the phenomenon of drug use behind bars, primarily focusing on the peculiarities in Lithuanian prisons. The monograph’s author discusses the relationship between drug use and criminal behaviour and punishment and analyses relevant Lithuanian legal regulation and foreign good practice examples.
STALKING IN LITHUANIA: THE ANALYSIS OF RESEARCH AND PRACTICE SITUATION
Based on the research conducted in 2021-2022, this study presents the characteristics of the stalking phenomenon in Lithuania, reviews the existing means of response, recent court practice, reveals the attitudes of the representatives of the criminal justice system and provides some insights about the practical response to stalking. Major issues and opportunities of supporting the victims are also discussed.
RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE PREVENTION AND RESPONSE TO STALKING
The aim of the publication is to provide guidance to interested institutions (law enforcement agencies, ministries of the Republic of Lithuania and their subordinate bodies), NGOs and the general public on how to successfully respond to persecution, how to provide assistance to victims of persecution, how to ensure the safety of victims of persecution, and how to carry out preventive work with different groups of people.
