Based on the findings of the study “Change in Domestic Violent Behaviour: Perspectives for Developing Work with Perpetrators at Institutional and Community Levels” (SMEAK), this publication not only presents the country’s situation in terms of implementing Batterers Intervention Programmes (BIP), but it also provides directions for the development of BIP application and makes concrete recommendations to the various stakeholders and institutions involved.

The aim of this research was to create and propose a model for cooperation of the stakeholders after assessment of mechanisms used for the identification of domestic violence, provision of assistance and the existing practices of the multi-agency cooperation. The research included identification of the key stakeholders, determination of their interrelationships as well as analysis of the existing forms and practices of cooperation.

Nusikalstamumas Lietuvoje ir jo prevencijos perspektyvos

This study is part of scientific research which was carried out together with the scientists of Mykolas Romeris University (A. Kiškis, R. Uscila, V. Justickis) since 2010. In the first stage of the research authors investigated the problem of assessing crime by the data of registered crime statistics and victim surveys. Also they created the model of integration of these data which is adapted to investigate and evaluate the crime problem in Lithuania.

This monograph provides a twofold analysis of criminal behaviour in macro-level. First, a clear divide is made between registered criminal activities and reality of criminal activities.
